I’ve been fully licensed in Texas as a Chemical Dependency Counselor since 2007 and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, under the supervision of David Bueno Martin, since June 2023. In 2003, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston – Honors College, and in 2022 I completed a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. I’m a Certified Crisis Chaplain, and a Senior Credentialed Law Enforcement Chaplain, and possess extensive training in crisis intervention and stress management, including ICISF Assisting Individuals in Crisis and Advanced Group Crisis Intervention. For the past eighteen (18) years I have predominantly worked in the law enforcement and criminal justice setting; providing counseling and crisis intervention to First Responders, incarcerated teens and adults, and citizens of all ages within the community at large. In addition, I have experience working with pregnant, postpartum, and abortion-impacted women as a Program Coordinator with The Source Women’s Clinic and provided counseling to individuals and couples as a practicum student at Second Baptist Church.

I currently provide individual, couples, and family counseling to First Responders, adults, adolescents, and teens impacted by bereavement, critical incident stress, substance abuse disorder, and a wide range of other emotional, relational, or behavioral issues. I understand that every person is uniquely created and then molded by their life experiences. For this reason, I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling that draws from various therapeutic orientations and techniques. This integrative and flexible approach aims to discover and implement the most effective treatment plan for each individual based on their unique goals, worldview, and personality. For anyone who may be seeking Christian Integrative Counseling, the incorporation of Scripture and/or prayer is available for those who may request. For dating, engaged, or married couples seeking to foster resilient relationships and/or marriages, I’m a also certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator who can provide a personalized counseling plan tailored to each couple’s unique strengths and growth areas for an extra assessment fee.

She offers in-person and virtual sessions, including EMDR as a modality of treatment.
